A nice 2nd Model Naval Dagger by Eickhorn in good to fair condition. The Blade and the pommel and cross guard as well as the dent free scabbard are the centerpieces on this Dagger. The double etched plated blade, stamped with the 1935-41 Carl Eickhorn logo is unique to this piece. The brass cross guard is typical Eickhorn and the original leather/cork buffer pad is present as are the scabbard screws, there is still nice gilding on the cross guard and the brass pommel as well as the scabbard. Unfortunately the grip has minor cracks and chips in the white celluloid over the wood grip but the twisted wire wrap remains intact and nicely preserved. It does have character and displays nicely and was acquired from a Canadian Veteran’s Family. The lightning bolt pattern brass scabbard is in fair condition, dent free and minimal gilding remaining. It is not a mint dagger by any means but an honest example at a very competitive price.
